Trent Alexander-Arnold admits he has never seen Arne Slot so angry after Liverpool’s dismal first-half display at Southampton on Saturday.

The Premier League’s bottom side almost got their hearts beating down the home side, with the Dutchman watching from the stands following his suspension.
Live footage showed the Reds boss was clearly unhappy with his side’s disappointing display as Will Smallbone’s effort gave Southampton the lead.

“He was probably the angriest we’ve seen him do so far. I think it’s good he hasn’t shown us too much so far but I think we deserved it,” the 26-year-old said. ” It wasn’t good enough. We deserved to be behind, but we came out in the second half wanting to prove ourselves and we did it quickly. “As a team and individually,
we were happy to be there.
You want to play well in every game, but it’s impossible,” he said.
“You’re going to have days when you don’t play well, you’re not proud of your performance. Those are the days when you look back and think, yeah, we got the three points, that’s the most important thing.”
