Ange Postecoglou has revealed that Cristian Romero will be out of Tottenham Hotspur’s game against Manchester City.
The Argentine picked up an injury in the win over Aston Villa. Before the international break but travelled to Argentina to play. Romero was
eventually substituted while playing for Argentina last week and then missed Wednesday’s game against Peru.
It was not immediately clear whether Romero would feature but Postecoglou has confirmed the player will not be fit to face City but there is a chance he could be available next week.
Micky van de Ven will also sit out Saturday’s game in Manchester as he tries to work his way back to fitness from his hamstring injury. After a few hamstring issues for the Dutchman in his short time with Tottenham, Postecoglou was asked if the club have to be careful with the player to ensure it doesn’t keep happening.

“Romero will not be ready for tomorrow. We hope he will be ready for next week,” Postecoglou said.
The Australian had previously confirmed that Mickey van de Ven would still need around two weeks to return to action, even after returning to training.
Another player who will be out for City is youngster Mikey Moore, who has been ill since the international break.
