Inter Milan are reportedly close to renewing their contract with Italy midfielder Nicolo Barella, a five-year deal worth €4.5 million per season.
Il Corriere dello Sport reports that the midfielder is close to extending his contract with the Nerazzurri, with the deal set to expire in June 2026.
Inter’s CEO Beppe Marotta has confirmed the club are close to reaching an agreement with the former star Cagliari.
The 24-year-old joined Inter on loan in July 2019. Before joining permanently in September 2020 for a total of 44.5 million euros.
Since joining, Barella played in the Europa League final in 2020. Before helping Inter to the 2020-21 Serie A title under Antonio Conte.
His current deal expires in June 2024. But Inter are ready to extend the term for another two years and almost double his wages.
The newspaper reports that Inter are willing to offer the Italy international a €4.5 million-a-season contract. Which has served the Azzurri army for 33 games
