Rosso Blue defeated AC Milan 2-4 in Serie A on Saturday. In the game, the team is two goals behind before they can equalize. But with nine men remaining unable to resist before finally losing, Mihajlovic said everyone should be proud of the results they did. And I would like to compliment the team that fought without retreat.

“I’m not angry,” Mihajlovic told Sky Sport Italia.

“I’m not satisfied that the game ended in that direction. But I don’t want to talk about the referee. My team has the strength to come back to equalize the game. Then we had two strokes that allowed nine players to win. And without the moment of Ismael Bennacer, we might be able to.

“We can do better than Milan. The team should be proud of what they did tonight. Today we can’t get points. But it felt like we won. I see great football, the spirit, the courage, everything makes the team strong.

“The only thing I regret is Bennacer’s goal because it came from a cadence of nothing. I don’t know how it ended like that.”

“I am disappointed the game ended up going that way, but I don’t want to talk about referees anymore. My team had the strength to get back on level terms, then we had two chances down to nine men where we could’ve won it, and without that moment of magic from Bennacer, we might’ve done it.

“We did better than Milan. The lads ought to be proud of what they did this evening. We didn’t pick up points today, but for everything else, it feels like we won. I saw great football, spirit, courage, everything that makes a team strong.

“My only regret is Bennacer’s strike, because without that out of nowhere, I don’t know how it would’ve ended.”
