Barcelona have loaned Victor Roque to Real Betis until the end of the season, with the option to buy for an additional year. The Catalan giants signed Roque
from Athletico Paranaense last summer for around €30 million with €31 million in add-ons, and the player officially joined the club in January. However, the
19-year-old has struggled for opportunities under Xavi Hernandez and failed to impress new coach Hansi Flick during pre-season. As a result, Barca have
been trying to sell him throughout the summer, and have previously accepted a €20 million offer from Sporting Lisbon, with €12 million in add-ons.
Barcelona forward Vitor Roque has joined Real Betis on a season long loan just eight months after signing for the Catalan side in a deal worth an initial €35 million ($39m). Betis will pay Roque’s salary in full and also have an option to extend the Brazilian’s loan into a second season.
However, Roque wanted to join Betis instead, and Barca gave in, allowing the Brazilian to play in Andalusia on loan until the end of the season.
Betis also has the option to extend the loan for another year. There is also an option to sign Roque on a permanent basis, ยูฟ่าเบท and they are covering the player’s wages.
Roque made his name with Paranaense last year, scoring 21 goals in 45 appearances, a performance that has also earned him his senior Brazil debut.
