Never Download Before

  DOWNLOADING FILES

1.        When the download screen pops up, select the "download to a file" option.

2.        You will be asked where to put the downloaded file on your computer.

3.        Select the folder/directory you wish to download the file to.

4.        TIP: It is a common practice for people to have a download directory created for this purpose.

5.        Continue with downloading the file.

6.        After the download has completed, do the following steps:

7.        Go to the folder/directory where you downloaded the file.

Go to the folder where you downloaded the title and open it. Double click on this file: Title of (book).exe or ZIP file. This will unzip all of the files that are included. Once you have extracted the zip file, find AutoRun.exe and double click on this. The menu will open then click on the book title and it will open. On the top right there is a yellow key icon. Click on this and enter the password there. There is also Adobe Reader program that is used to read the PDF files. You can also just double click on the file you want to open it.

The program will load, and in the top right side of the tool bar you will see a "Key Icon". When you click on this the password box will open up and you can enter the password. Type it in exactly as it is shown. On the PDF file you enter the password after clicking on the file.

On Zip files you will need a unzipping program to unzip the file which is included.

Most of the problems people have with passwords is they type them in. It is far better to go  into "Passwords", copy the password Control+C) and then paste (Control+V) it into the password box. Also if there is a space before the password the password won't work. Do the same with passwords to open ZIP files.

If you have a slow connection I would suggest using a download manager such as "Netscape smartdownload", which is a free program that can be downloaded from http://download.com. If the machine shuts down or quits downloading  you can resume it where it stops. When downloading you can pause a download and then resume it at a later time. When you get into http://download.com type in Netscape smartdownload in the search box then download the program. This should take care of the problem of downloading.
